Before I began, good lord. My legs look like they aspire to be as white as my teeth.
A short day trip to JB with some of my Sevvy girls and it was exactly what I needed as far as getting away from things could get. On the way back to JB's checkpoint, we were stuck on the expressway for an good hour listening to early 2000s love songs.
While Daniel Beddingfield crooned "If you're not the one then why does my hand fits yours this way...", Beh asked Shar to tell her briefly what all 7 of the Harry Potter films were about. I thought oh wow, where does one even begin but Shar being the Potter head she is, immediately delved into "Okay, so Philosopher's Stone, some called it the Sorcerer's Stone..." And I listened to her chatter about all 7 films, constantly alluding to the other films to draw parallels and I envisioned this huge web of "join the dots" with all the new links she drew I've never considered about. All while the right side of my face burnt under the sunlight. Somewhere through the ride, I realised I could grow old with these girls. I say it like I haven't already been through 5 years with them but you know... it was one of those kinda moments that hits you out of nowhere.
Also caught the Lion King Musical with this one and it was so good. I love it.
Real good week. Not even gonna complain about the killer heat. Just really really contented. :)
