Recess Week

Dear pre-uni self,

The term 'recess' changes once you step into Uni. It used to mean playtime, break time, fun time, food food food foooooood, 50 cents bowl of noodles. Now it means more work. Yay. On a side note I used to wonder why the coffee sold at cafe was so terrible till I discover the sugar packets they placed on the counter. Now I'm on an expressway to diabetes.

Planning to do something exciting to my hair over the coming weekends I hope it goes smoothly.

Second last day of recess week spent with me exploring the Sengkang/Hougang/Serangoon/Punggol (I honestly don't know where I was but one of the regions listed) for my documentary photography project. I'm doing a photographic series revolving around how compact and squishy everything in Singapore is. Actually, I'm just focusing on HDBs. I'm seeking out buildings which are really close to each other and literally measuring the distance. HAHA. I think it'll turn out quite interesting... hopefully. I had so many barang barangs I looked like I'm on my way to a 5-day camp but I shot quite a bit and I'm proud of that. (I think I got judged by strangers quite a bit because I was being odd and was 'loitering around'). Tomorrow I'm doing a little 'music video' for my cousin. I can't believe a week just flew by like that. I don't even know what I really did in this past week. Back to proper school again oh man.

My Saturday Morning

Me trying to balance my cactus on my head because #boredandprocrastinating on my Saturday morning. By 'Saturday morning', I mean around 11.30am because I slept in as usual. Weekends are my only sleep-ins okay. Haha got stabbed a few times by the cactus obviously. *points to last photo* Oh the stupid things I do. I think Imma name my cactus 'Blob'. As in Bob but because it's a blob, so Blob. Or maybe Muffin because it looks like one, but Muffin sounds real mushy, as if it's something your granny calls you. "Why how sweet a muffin you are!" So Blob it is. #real-timethoughtprocess

I've body image issues. For the longest time. I know, I know. I look perfectly fine. It bugs me now and then. You honestly can't please anyone. When I was borderline underweight years back I was criticised for being 'too skinny' and now that I'm in the healthy weight range I've been called 'fat' (they mean it too). For some odd reason, people think they have the rights to judge your body. YOUR BODY. As if you gave them a feedback form and asked those judgemental buttholes for their opinions.

On a side note, school's starting tomorrow oh my gawd. *clings tightly to my bed and refuses to let go* All bets on Yun Jing oversleeping. Back in hall aka back to irregular eating, late-night chats and erm... occasional spells of not bathing. HAHAHA.

Monday morning starts with an early class. My Mondays will be as blue as cookie monster's face when he's choking on cookies. Oh balls. I'M NOT MENTALLY READY FOR THIS. NOT READY!!!

GUYS THE FRUSTRATION WITH MY HAIR IS REAL. I CANNOT. LOOK AT THIS OVERGROWN FUGLY PIXIE HAHAHAHA. I bet you don't even know my hair looks like that because I've been tying it all up now that it's long enough. Last night my mum looked at me and went "OMG JIE JIE YOUR HAIR SUPER UGLY LEH!"

I'm waiting for the ears side to grow long enough for me to chop the back 'mullet' to the same length so I'll have a bob BUT IT'S TAKING AGES TO GROW. I need some hair fertiliser. Does Beijing 101 help with hair spurt. OR SHOULD I GO BACK TO PIXIE HAIR. Sigh. 

Anyway, I'll be gone for a couple of days. DANCE CAMP OH YEAH. I haven't danced for ages. I predict... I may suffer from a serious bout of not-exercising-for-months severe muscles ache. I shall leave you with my 60s boy band shaggy mullet nerdy specs photobooth pics. #attractive

Pixie gettin' wildddd

Here's my pixie hair growth in 2 months & 3 days. Ignore the bangs because I trim that every 2 weeks. My bangs grow from below my brows to the middle of my eyeballs in 2 weeks. I don't know what it is I eat, but my hair sprouts wildly. Just had Chloe cut about an inch off the back of my hair to get rid of my 'mullet' and so the hair by my ears don't look like hobbits (short) as compared. Chloe was freaking out because she hasn't cut anyone's hair before haha.

Growing out a pixie is... well, a pain sometimes but you have to figure out what style works best for you and I've been tucking/pinning hair behind my ears to avoid having shaggy Zac-Efron-in-HSM kinda hair. *points to bottom left photo* Gawd I look like I freshly came out of The Beatles hair salon. Slick back hair would look pretty cool too but... it's like a bobby-pins landmine on my head.

Sticking to bangs for now! And I honestly don't even have to care about my eyebrows hahah. Hair will probably be a decent bob by Xmas. We shall see where to go from there then. :D

Two photobooth posts. This never happens... EXCEPT when Yun Jing attempts to do her homework and you know, she gets distracted as usual. Anyway, I show off all these moves to whoever bothers to entertain me with a bit of their time (aka all my family and friends) all the time but I realised I've never shown you guys! So here is my flexible contortionist side of me. I'm not so sure about the last one though. I just added that because I needed four photos for this collage to be complete. I know some looks real easy but wait till you try it.

BACK TO MAI WERK Y'ALL! (Right after I watch a couple of videos on Youtube and by couple we mean hours worth and then I get too tired and I'll be like "Phew it's been a really long day (yeah right). I should probably rest now and continue tomorrow" and then for all we know POOF comes another photobooth post tomorrow. That's how I roll bee boop bee boop.)

I watched the Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind last night. (I know, I've been watching too many movies.) It was really really good and I love it very very much. I love Jim Carrey already but when he's not being goofy and when he's that shy and quiet guy with that beanie and stubble, he's reaaaaally appealing. And Kate Winslet. GAH. Perfect especially with crazy-coloured hair. I love the twists in the plot too. It's actually a pretty simple storyline when you think about it, but it's pretty darn awesome and somewhat mind-blowing. #Minddamage #yougeddit

My hair is a blossoming bush now. The colour matches the dead bushes and grass Singapore has now. Sometimes I think I have an alter ego, my inner badassery.

DSB/WONG DAY TMR!

ADM Senior camp tomorrow till Wednesday and my period will most likely come tomorrow. Fun.
Was kinda "awwwww camp tomorrow Imma lazy ass" but then I was starting to pack my camp bag (packing camp bag feels so darn familiar) and I actually can't wait. I guess there will always be a part of me that loves doing camps no matter how old and lazy I am becoming. :) I remember how awesome TPJ OGL days were and now I get a second shot as ADM GL coming orientation camp in July. HO YEAH I BET ITS GONNA BE BETTER THAN TPJ.

1) My typical computer time posture. No really. It sucks because my chin always end up hurting and my neck from craning upwards. But sloth has to do what a sloth has to do (even when doing work).
2) Big hair (pre-dye hair). Took this so I can see the hair colour difference but BOOHOO LOUSY HAIR DYE HAVE MUST WELL LABEL ITS COLOUR "MISLEADING-RED-SECRETLY-A-BLACK-NINJA".

3) Sudden sprout of facial hair across the nose. I call this Noustache.
4) Sudden sprout of cheek hair. I call this THE LORAX.

5) My attention-seeking dog refuse to let me do my stuff in peace.
6) My attention-seeking, narcissistic bear hogging my computer and doing god knows what.


Idk if you can tell, I'm not very... normal. Trying to look pretty in photos is hardwork. Unglam is the new glam I'm telling you. Since when? Since now.

Did my nails today because I completed a lot of work today and I deserve to slack!

Finally finish filming today from early morning to early afternoon. 

It was an insane rush because batt was dying and I had so much scenes left to film.

My Lekbuds were awesome because I was pretty bossy and panicking and frustrated and they just kindly comply.

Filming at a shopping mall was crazy because there were so many people around and you have to make sure your characters are at least noticeable.

And I had to shoot again and again especially when a 'boss' grandly stroll into my frame now and then and block everything else.

And I had to ask permissions to film places and a security came down to watch us... 

Yeah. It was hardwork.

I did mention I deserve to slack right?

Guess who woke up at 3pm todayyayayayayaya. I guess it's because I slept at 5am the previous night but then again I sleep at 5 sometimes and still managed to wake up at 8-9 for school.
Man, I'm the beginning of humans to pigs evolution.

But then again I did chores and finally did my laundry hell yeah someone give me a trophy!
And I bathed in the afternoon. woohoo no procrastinating till midnight.
